Boarding Information

We’re happy to care for your cat while you’re away. Please review the information below before your cat’s stay so we can help provide a safe, comfortable, and low-stress boarding experience.

Health Requirements

All boarding cats must be current on required vaccines, including FVRCP and Rabies. If vaccines were not performed at Felines First, please have records sent to us before check-in.

Cats must also arrive current on an approved veterinary flea preventative. If flea prevention cannot be verified, or if signs of fleas are found, an appropriate treatment/preventative will be applied at the owner’s expense.

Food and Belongings

We recommend bringing your cat’s regular food to help reduce the chance of stomach upset during their stay. Food should be brought in a resealable container or sealed bag.

We provide sanitized stainless steel bowls and in-house bedding. Small comfort items, clothing, or toys from home are welcome, but personal belongings are left at the owner’s risk.

Cat Eating Food

Medications

All medications and supplements must arrive in their original labeled containers. Items requiring administration, verification, encouragement, monitoring, or documentation are subject to daily medication administration fees.

Some medical treatments may need to be performed by our veterinary medical team and may be billed separately.

Special Boarding Needs

Some cats require separate housing arrangements for safety, comfort, or medical reasons. This may include intact males, intact females 8 months of age or older, unvaccinated or incompletely vaccinated cats, and certain kittens.

Additional setup or isolation fees may apply when separate housing is required.

Holiday & Weekend Scheduling

Boarding check-in and check-out availability may be limited during holidays and holiday weekends. As a result, some cats may need to arrive earlier or remain with us longer than originally anticipated.

For example, if a requested departure date falls on a day when boarding pick-up services are unavailable, your cat may remain boarded until the next available pick-up period. Any additional boarding charges incurred as a result of the extended stay are the responsibility of the owner.

Our team will make every effort to communicate holiday scheduling restrictions and associated costs when reservations are made.

Close-Up Of Cat

Emergency & Medical Care

Emergency care preferences, non-emergency treatment authorizations, and CPR/DNR preferences are reviewed as part of the boarding admission process.

These authorizations help our team respond appropriately if medical concerns arise while your cat is in our care.

Extended Stays

Longer boarding stays may require advance payment arrangements. If medical services are needed during an extended stay, additional deposits or estimates may apply.
